"Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity (aka Diplomacy) was a major success for Stardock and its development partner, Ironclad Games. A significant new update for Trinity is expected out in early 2011. We will also be making some important announcements regarding Sins of a Solar Empire in 2011."

oh god let it be Sins 2!

I highly doubt that it'd be Sins 2. Given the poll...

SSHHHH!.

ehh... actually... the whole optomization they are doing on diplomacy... so they could fit in more stuff if they wanted to... another expansion would make sence.... buuuut they also kinda sorta made trinity the end all for sins...  ITs kinda like making a complete edition... and then going back and adding another something.   which is not cool.

Besides... another expansion would almost certainly completely kill off multiplayer.

...and I highly doubt that they could even produce Sins 2 that quickly.  It would probably take them at least 2 or 3 years.

Sins of a Solar Empire is pleased to announce the new full expansion Sins of a Solar Empire: Upheaval.

Upheaval introduces three new races to the world of Sins: Alliance, Rogue Traders and Xian'fi including new strategies with new units like Embassies (Starbase class units), strikecraft, militia's and mercaneries.

Alliance: Diplomacy is complete resulting in a new faction of combined TEC, Advent and Vasari intelligence resulting in new ships, research and strategies.

Rogue Traders: Not content with their scurvy role as pirates and limited resources, a new faction of Rogue traders make their way through the universe with intimidation and pillaging have set out to carve a piece of the universe for themselves.

Xian'fi: What Vasari is for nano-technology the Xian'fi are for genetic manipulation. Traversing the universe in their hybrid organic vessels the Xian'fi find themselves pitted against less than accepting races to their genetic experimentations.

While Upheaval is a new Expansion players of Diplomacy will be able to play online against the new Expansion but will be limited to the original three race selections. However, Diplomacy users will have access to new strategies added to the original races in both Single Player and Multi Player.

*** Disclaimer *** This is all fake of course, I'm just dreaming aloud :P.... Though I think the last part would be nice if any new expansion could be done such that Diplomacy users could play online with any new expansion.

That actually sounds like an AWESOME expansion. The best part is that it's actually logical and would work perfectly within the scope opf the game. IC needs to make this.

Thats correct. It didn't do very well, but they're hoping to do better with the first expansion.

hmmm... looking at the new Gamer's Bill of Rights, I see most of the old ones got merged together into the new ones, but what happened to post-release support (updates)?
