Destroying Planets

Will it be possible in rebellion?

Hi all,

I've been playing Sins of a Solar Empire since it's very early begining and I've always find this game being best Strategy game of all time !

Now, there's only one thing that I've always wanted to see in this great game and it is the destruction of planets.

It could quicken some interminable games too.

My question is, will it be in Rebellion? Is there a chance to see that feature maybe even as an option, to have a possibility to completely wipe a planet from the surface of the map? I would love to see that =รพ

If not oooh well... It won't stop me from buying the game !!! Long live Sins of a Solar Empire !

Doubtful as Rebellion will be built on the same engine.

At first I thought all those powerful weapons you can build would be able to destroy completely a planet but no :'(

So the engine couldn't animate the destruction of a planet into asteroids and asteroids into nothing ? Really? Wouldn't it be possible if we treated a planet like a ship with a health bar.

Sad ! It would have been so much funnier and end the cycle of I take you take that planet for hours on gigantic maps.

I know I'm sad too. The titan class ship though is pretty uplifting. Will be perfect for that SW mod. A moon would have made it absoulute perfect as well.
