After fooling around with the beta of 1.2, I decided to write a little editorial on why I think Sins is the best 4X space game ever. I'd thought I would share it here. Comments always welcome.
I Can't Stop Sinning!
There’s no doubt about it: with the pending arrivals of the 1.2 patch and Sins: Rebellion, things are once again looking bright for Ironclad’s ad astra magnum opus (is that too much Latin?).
But I didn’t call this meeting to discuss the latest patch. Rather, I called it because I just have to exclaim, loudly and clearly, that:
I just love Sins of a Solar Empire!
But I have to ask myself why that is (it's a Freudian thing with me). What makes the hours absolutely fly by when I play it? What keeps me up all night fortifying planetary wells with gigantic starbases and treacherous minefields? What compels me to labor for hours trying to wrest a particularly resource rich planet from a neighboring empire, something that nearly brings me to tears when it costs my beloved level 8 Kortul-class Devastator? What is it about this game that is so darn captivating?
