Base Mod for v1.2?
Does anyone have the basic Game Info, mesh date, etc that someone (me) would need to make a mod for the latest version of SOSAE: Trinity? I've found the reference data, but I get a minidump whenever I try to make a mod out of it.

If you got the reference files from the website, they've been out of date for quite a while. I think someone did upload them somewhere...
Edit: Yup, has its own topic on the front page of the modding forum.
thanks goafan, yes the forge tools are from the release of entrenchment, nearly TWO years ago and there have been 7 patches( each altering the entity files in a significant way) for both vanilla sins AND entrenchment, and on top of that the diplomacy expansion was also released which has had FOUR patches all of which have had alterations in the entity files and even the manifests that entrenchment and diplomacy use to load all the needed files, also one of the more requested items IS updated reference files( ie read and edit friendly) which is why I wrote and released my textbin gui and also the actual texted game files which are in my reference files thread.
harpo
Yes, I've tried making a mod by just assembling all of Harpo's files, but it didn't work :/
Do I need more than just the Game Info folder?
So all of the tools for the most part in Downloads are out of date save maybe Galaxy Forge?
Only the reference data. The forges still work.
We need more stuff in the Downloads area. Anyone agree with me? Maybe I should release some of my beginner-friendly mods...
Yeah, that would help. Or just an "empty" mod that doesn't have any actual changes from the current version of trinity.
That's what Harpo's links are supposed to be. When you say you combined all of Harpo's files, what order did you do them in?
1st is the vanilla files
Then place Entrenchment files over top and let them overwrite.
Then place the Diplomacy files over top and let them overwrite.
I also found this to be a bit of a pain when I first did this so I made complete sets of reference files with this already done. I am making the 1.2 reference file set now but am also comparing each file for differences and making a detailed change log which IC should have done for modders.
THats great, thanks for doing that. I was wondering theres a mod for 6 full races out as i did want to add an extra race or two into a personal mod but cant for the life of me get the 6 races mod to work with the new 1.2 patch, is it possible for someone to get this working with 1.2 for those of us that are new to the modding scene please ![]()
Are you referencing my Races Mod? No one's posted asking for an update in that thread, so it's not been a priority for me.
yeah that was the one, sorry couldnt remeber where i'd found it from lol, i thought it was a great building block for anyone wanting to expand past 3 races so wondered if it was going to be updated aswell or not
