Mobile Suit Gundam:One Year War.

Would there be any interest?

I've recently been rewatching a looooot of universal century gundam series, and I've had the insane idea to translate it into a large-scale mobile suit gundam mod for Sins, Specifcially focusing on the one year war before things got too insane with zeta gundam. I'm currently working on a design doc for zeon to show my concepts..

I'm not so sure Sins is the right platform for a Gundam mod.

In Gundam the focus has always been on the mobile suits, and those would be so small that you'd only see their symbol or a dot with an engine trail most of the time.

And there are just so few of the bigger ships. The Salaris, the White Base and one more ship which I forgot the name of for the Earth side and that one battleship and one support ship for Zeon and that's it.

Not enough to fill up frigate, cruiser and Capital ship slots.

i think it would be good to try, but not just with the one year war, try going multi-century. from the one year war along the timelines through to seed, unicorn, stardust memory because the gundams had to have somewhere to launch from in each series. or another idea, have all carriers from all series, with one mobile suit type from each class ship then multiply each type by two or however many you wish to have, but leave the gundams as single units. but its up to the programmer of the mod. i am currently making a spreadsheet of the names of the units from each series and i know of a website that can give you tonnes of information on capital ships and suits.

Sins doesn't have turret animations. Your Mobile Suits will be glorified man shaped fighters or frigates.

Sins really isn't the right platform for this, at all, but if you're in desperate need of a UC Gundam strategy game theres an excellent mod for Homeworld 2 that does just that.

Yep, Homeworld 2 is the perfect platform for this... I remember playing the gundam mod a while back
