Mass Effect: Dawn of the Reapers

(Yes a Mass Effect mod)

Hi, i'm Lord Set the founder of Mass Effect: Dawn of the Reapers. This is mod being created to emphasize and glorify the space aspect of the Mass Effect Universe. For fans of Stargate Invasion you probably remember me, i helped out back in 09 when the mod first came into existence. I have about 10 years of modeling experience and a love for all things Mass Effect. If you are interested in keeping up with it, it has been posted to Moddb. There are daily updates, and i'm still looking for some help if anyone is interested. I very much want to make this a community project so even if you can't code, or model or texture. Input is always welcome, good or bad.

Enjoy, and Criticism is desired.

BTW i could be a tester for you if you want perhaps a balancer, i dont want this mod ruined by poor balance. only thing is i would need to be taught how u can change stuff. ive changed stats in other games before but i have never done any modding on sins.

think this one is dead already...this really makes me sad

Nope, this mod is still going.  Lord Set just posts everything up on ModDB instead of here.

End of superfleet's quote

A week goes by and it's "dead"? Have you not tried the ModDB page? Do you not realize that this is pretty much a single guy working entirely from scratch?

Things like that take time, and a lot of it. A week going by with no news is, well, small beans. It means nothing.

If there had been six months between the last update and now, you might have been right. But a bloody week?!

EDIT: and I've been ninja'd, with a margin of around twenty seconds. Props to Sparda for his mad ninja skillz.

It is not dead, far from it. I post everything to Moddb. Moddb is organized and allows me the control i desire. I update it almost daily. With models and information regarding my big Sin overhaul. So please stop by and dont be so quick to call it dead.

Just wondering, but will this be a total conversion or additional races?

this is most likely going to be a TC. I have talked with Set about this on several occasions, and it seems that this is the path the mod is going to take.

Yes, this is a Total Conversion.

I'm currently working on the galaxy forge to recreate the galaxy map of Mass Effect, something for me to enjoy when the Dawn of the Reapers mod finally comes out. Now, from what I understand it's possible to create maps using mod-created planet types, and im wondering if dawn of the reapers incorporates any existing planet mods for diplomacy that I could utilize to get a bit of a head start on this project of mine.

At this time, we haven't incorporated a planet mod, but we do intend to. I'm using the DS mod galaxy forge to create an ME universe map atm.

I like what I see of the Cerberus station.  And I can't say how much I want a proper Mass Effect mod for this game.  There's plenty of space to stretch your arms with, the games' story arcs barely scratched the surface of the setting's depth.
