I recently downloaded forge tools and patch sins to 1.05. I have the original Sins game no expansions at all. I've extracted everything from the rar folder and I would like to know where everything goes and works so I can start modding. Any help will be great.
First, get Impulse from Impulsedriven.com. Patch up well beyond 1.05.
Second, Forge Tools is much newer than 1.05, but horribly outdated otherwise.
The very top of http://soase.weebly.com/modding-tools.html covers what is out dated and what is still good to use.
Also has other free tools that most modders use. Lots of other tutorials as well.
I do not recommend changing or adding anything to the Sins root directory (the games install folder).
