Hi, if anyone could help me with this, it would be much appreciated. I play my games on a widescreen TV, so I thought it would be a good idea to go into the settings of the game (Instructions at http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/sins-solar-empire) to change the resolution. When I start up the game, the intro movie doesn't load. The forum said that if this happens you simply have to press the escape key three times, but if i press anything even once, then my game shuts down and I get a Microsoft error report. Please help as I am desperate to play this game!
Reload the game from scratch maybe? As far as I know (and I have my comp set on a widescreen TV as well) Sins is already widescreen compatible. There should be no need to mess with the files.
What version are you running?
I think I'm running v 1.03, though I'm not sure. And the reason I messed about with the files is because although it does have widescreen support, if I change it to any of the sizes in the options menu, then it's either too small or too big.
Try editing the file some more. Specifically, I'd try windowed mode.
It is stated in the lower right hand corner in the menu.
