Question about phase lanes

Hi folks i was wondering if anyone could answer a quick question regarding phase lanes.

Is it possible to remove phase jumping and instead have a point to point jump gate network on each end of the phase lane?

basicly me and a couple of friends are wanting to set up some way of having nuteral (not attackable) gates spawned during the game creation phase that would allow instant travel from planet to planet at an antimatter cost.

or worse case have it so that the gates would work sun to sun and you couldnt fly from one sun to the other any other way.

 

does anyone know if this is possible?

If you mean have ships jump from gate to gate instead of edge of gravity well to edge of gravity well, no, not possible.

Not necessarily...  If you were in the same star system but had to vastly different points, you could use a neutral version of the phase gate and then make the travel speed 999999% faster (aka instant).

 

Or, you could use...  Wormholes.
