Give us more info?

Like enemy composition and such? What is causing the stalemate?

They have a huge fleet and so many star bases. i have reserched all of the tech (im guessing they have too). i can not even afford to replace the ships they destroyed...

they are composed of mostly capital ships and light frigates (not many support ships) When i attack either of the two teams, i lose. They lose when they attack me. and im barely able to hold off there attacks any longer. (there reaching me through a wormhole)

Well you could probably win, but only through a massive war of attrition that will take a lot of time and certainly won't be much fun. I'd just start a new game and try not to let your allies get defeated or play a smaller map so you have a decent shot of winning. As long as you have a few decent planets and a good choke point backed by fully upgraded starbase, several repair bays and a decent task force the AI probably will never manage to defeat you, but it will take a while for you to turn this into an advantage capable of taking the next planet, let alone win the game. LRF counter LF and capitalships nicely, but as always bring some Hoshikos for support. Also get a level 6 Akkan and Marza as you'll need to exploit Armistice and Missile Barrage as much as possible.

Missile Barrage vs the AI is an Insta-win. Mix in the Armistice to help while the MB recharges is nice. Also as GoaFan77 pointed out. LRFs are your friends with Hoshikos. Carriers with bombers also help.

To help with your economic problems, I would advise scaling back as much as possible on research labs except for what you need to build stuff. You only need to keep them for the Ships you want to build, any upgrades or abilities researched will stay even if you no longer have the labs to research them. So unless you want to build a Novalith Network, you only need to keep 5 Mil labs after all research is done and unless you want to build Refineries, you only need 3 civ labs for trade and culture centers. If you haven't already assessed all of this, then I would advise reducing your labs and filling with trade ports to help build more ships. Again, this is only if you have made the decision to undertake what will likely be a long war of attrition.

It also helps to lure their fleets to your Starbase when possible. I have found that there are 2 ways that the AI will attack a Starbase. If I send my fleet to his planet, start an initial attack and then retreat before taking losses, they will usually follow your retreating fleet unless you have them vastly outnumbered. Also, AI doesn't like to attack where your fleet is unless you have just retreated as mentioned above. So station your fleet 1 Jump away from your frontline fortress world and then when you get notice that they are coming, you can jump yours in and use all of your defenses to chew their fleet up. I have used this many times against the AI, works well.

This fleet is very small.  You have lots of capital ships, but relatively few frigates and cruisers, and that's going to seriously affect your damage output and overall staying power.  Capital ships offer lots of interesting special abilities, but in terms of brute force are somewhat underwhelming.

Then you have probably lost.  The AI is a very poor attacker and high-level TEC capital ships can be particularly nasty, so I'd imagine you could successfully defend for hours on end.  However, as TEC in the late-game you really need to be able to build and sustain large fleets to go on the offensive.  It's probably still winnable in theory, but as others have mentioned it's going to be time-consuming and impractical by this point.

Try to focus more on expanding your empire and fleet.  Technology is effectively multiplied over your entire empire, so it's a relatively small effect for small empires and a massive effect for bigger empires.  To facilitate technology, you need to focus on early expansion, and that means developing your military early to secure new worlds.  In terms of colonization, try to capture one new planet every 5 minutes (even faster if you can manage it).  Bigger empires can have bigger incomes and support more structures, which enables you to support bigger fleets.  Whether it's +10% damage or resource income, if your empire and fleet are bigger you'll get more benefit out of it.

If you're new to the game and don't mind being cheap, beeline for choke point(s) (if you see a great choke point, move your ships directly there without capturing anything in between except if it only takes a few seconds to take care of the important militia) and set up starbases and repair platforms. Unless you're playing against Cruel or Vicious, they should take care of nearly any AI fleet.

Once your starbases are good, build as many logistics structures as possible. Build as many civic/military labs as you'll want, maybe build a couple of frigate factories and culture centers near the front lines, and then fill EVERY POSSIBLE remaining slot with a trade port.

If you do that, you'll be much less likely to run out of credits.

And as Darvin3 said, once you're trying to defeat the enemy AI, you'll need a much larger fleet.

Wraith89 speaks words of great wisdom here. If you can find a good choke point the AI will insist on barging through it rather than circumventing. I used this stategy and was able to hold the line with a quarter of the number of enemy ships. Also trade ports are a good way of making income is you have nothing better to do with your logistics slots.
