SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE: Episode XLII: Sins of a Sci-Fi Multiverse

There is unrest on the Sci-Fi Boards. With the Sci-Fi Admins gone, the Fanboys infiltrated the Sci-Fi Forums, posing as Users. By the time the Users realized their mistake, the Fanboys rebelled, spamming the Boards with hate filled threads.

Evading the dreaded forum Moderators, the Fanboys continue in their relentless attacks. Star Wars vs Star Trek vs Stargate without thought, reason, or spell check. Left with no choice, the Users desperately contacted the Sci-Fi Admins, pleading for permaban.

Unheard from for a thousand years, the Sci-Fi Admins returned and wisely took a different course. Using their mastery of the Code, they created a universe where all Sci-Fi is equal. Now the boards are quiet, but the FanboyWar continues....

all I can say at this point is: school slowed down modding even more than I expected.

Hope to have a better response when the entire modding team is on Christmas Break.

Actually, 7 Deadly Sins holds that honor by incorporating the Galactic Empire from Star Wars and several races from Star Control 2.

So basic it's not public, but prive, I did try to get those, but best I can get 2.1 version, but not 2.5 from somewhere website, not damangame.com, I did sign up, but there seem problem with my e-mail all that, so I unable to download from website. So that mod only hold honor to few who manage to get that mod, not everyone. Yes, sure they let everyone know in public but to download, not to public.

noing, I also have not been able to get any 7 deadly sins since the move to entrenchment,

and on a different note

ya i read the thread, but i cant make a connection, i click the link, ie reconnects twice before it quits trying to recover, i am just simply unable to connect to the site.

I got the gamefront to work finally

 

good mod but a few issues for me

1 2 valkyries? should try other capital ships

2 the effects for the shooting should be updated because battlestars fire huge ammounts and in this mod it fires the same as in SOT13th tribe with only 1 or 2 shots per volly try playing the mod by zombierus i think he pulled it off perfect  with they way battlestars fire

3 executors use way to much supply even using 2 makes it so you cant use the rest of your capital ships because of how much supply and on a map like systems of war were you can use 4 in a game its hard to not use up all the supply

4 novaliath dosnt work for the colonials and should definatly make more customised defences i love all the factions but there lack of individualised structures takes away from the mod alot like golans for the empire gause guns work fine for colonials and maybe some kind of fleet support structures for th alliance? or a scaled down golan station?

5 the fighters they have missles and the like that do zero damage its pointless and they should be overhauled markII vipers should have really good armor and just as powerfull weapons as the mark VII but mark VII should shoot faster because of the 3rd weapon mount and things like that because the strike craft system as it is usually makes only one strike craft per faction actually worth building

6 the empire is severly vunerable to strike craft try making capital ships able to target them or give them some more anti strike craft abilities because there strike craft cant effectively dfend there ships and they get raped by strike craft

I do like the rest of the balancing though its a good mix of classes and abilities but i think less frigates and cruisers should carry strike craft and put more on the capital ships they start with like 2 squadrons and alot of the cruisers carry just as many

Good mod i cant wait to see were it goes and how many more races get added

Apologies Jason and others, Philothanic and I have been busy, so we have not had time to work on this mod much at all since the fall. There may be hope of it being revitalized in the summer, but for the moment, that is why there have not been updates. We try to keep up with the forum, but do not have enough time to pour into truly modding at the moment.

Thats ok was just wondering i will try tinkering with some of the stats myself with your permission if you dont mind it will not be published just trying to explore modding and changing stats and stuff would be a good start

One request it would be intresting to have maye the Tauri from Stargate? Stargate Invasion is a great mod but its unbalanced and unfinished theyve teaked the ships way to far . If you guys could do that i think you would have the perfect mod

Just played a 2v1v1 match on this...took about three and a half hours for 2 colonials to kill 1 alliance and 1 imperial. (when playing mods for first time I like to have backup). once i had a big enough fleet i just walked right over the Imperial then the Alliance...but then i was fielding 5 or 6 times their number frequently, although that might be due to them fighting each other. the skill to claim/rescue ships does not work and some of the ships seem a bit too small. It's good so far but something seems to be missing....probably a few other races. one of the Homeworld races would be cool, Tauri from stargate as well. for a WIP i'd give it a 3/5 cause while the balancing is ok (not helped by Sins' thick AI) there are a couple of skill issues as well as some ship models being to bright or to dark, mostly dark, making it hard to tell whats going on in a fight.
