alright i keep getting this error
research def not found "RESEARCHSUBJECT_ARMORALDAR3.entity"
Is it in the player.entity research list?
Check the research file for errors. If a line is off it will stop reading.
yep its there and none of the other research i added is giving me problems what sort of errors should i be looking for i didn't change anything to it
Considering he posted a screenshot of the entity.manifest I'd guess so. In the player<race>.entity you don't have the .entity at the end of each line and it starts with entityDefName, not entityName.
Is it possible you forgot to, or messed up when increasing the counter at the beginning of the research list?
Doubtful as that would cause a minidump on load, iirc.
and that wasnt it got the number right but still saying Entity Ref Not found
Please PasteBin the contents of the entity manifest, humor us.
Also, does any research require that as a pre'requisite, or any ships need it? Any mispellings will cause hell also.
the only research that needs it as a prerequisite is another file that is giving me hell also with the same error i have triple checked the spelling of every place that the name is even mentioned 
and no ship needs it either

That would be your problem...
The manifest file has "file.entity" as it's reference design, the player file only uses the file name, no extension.
well, you've posted another thread with minidump problems. Start a single thread for your ALDAR mod and stick to posting in it often instead of in different ones all the time.
