Needed to take a break. Very frustrated with the medical field and my situation. Finally got in to see a "family doctor" and to make an appointment with a Neurologist after several years of trying. They were so concerned with my problem they finally made the appointment...1 year from now. I'll just leave it at that...the rest is just to depressing. But again thanks everyone for the concern.

Yeah...and they like to boast about treatment in the U.K. being bad! Ha! I've told doctors here what I think the problem "might" be and they look at me like deer caught in the headlights! And I use the correct terminology for their given field as well..."I" had to explain it to them what it was! It's downright scary what these "doctors" don't know and get paid for just guessing.

And you go into these clinics and they are allotted "15 minutes" to spend with you...with a student wannabe doctor. On top of that I take in all my medical records ahead of time...like a week or 2...and they don't even bother looking at them. Basically I'm screwed.

I'm so glad to see that you're still mighty pissed off with the medicos in your parts, WG... means you're still with us.

However, I think they should extract their digits from their rectums and get to fixin'  I year from now is not soon enough.

There's nothing worse than pain and discomfort [other than bankers & politicians] so let's hope that 12 month wait is drastically reduced and you're on all kinds of exotic meds real soon.... mmmmm.... mmeeeeds.  Shiver me timbers, I'd even swaller tha pink ones if'n they does tha business.

Thanks Mark!

Unfortunately, the meds they've been trying to give me have been worthless...stuff like Vicodin, Fentanyl and Oxycontin has no effect on me...at least not in the doses they've been giving me. And if you ask for anything stronger they look at you like your some sort of drug addict just trying to get drugs.  And not sure I want to wait yet another year for more disappointment.

Don't get me started about the US Health System. My fiancee lives in the States and has MS and yeah, well, that's as much as I'll say 'cause beyond that I'll get seriously p***ed and feel like punching stuff.

What I will say is this... FOR SHAME! For shame on everyone of these doctors that puts a dollar sign on someones health and well-being.

I got banned from my neurologist this week. Actually, that's not entirely true. I was banned by the whole practice. One of them put a note in my file that says I have 'behavioral issues'. Can you fucking believe that?! Me! Behavioral issues!!!! I know, I know. You're all as shocked as I was.  They went as far as to say they would prefer I not even come into the building. SO I leered at 'em from the parking lot as my wife went in to collect my files. Yup. That wife. The one with 'The List'. Guess who's on it now.

Gizmo..I pray you find relief and help and hope so very soon. I won't say I can relate but you'll be in my thoughts when I can't sleep at night and can't do the things I really want to do.

Well from what I know about your problem your probably going through the same sort of thing as I am. Sleepless nights...anxiousness...frustration...constant pain and discomfort...no end in sight...wanting to do normal things but the body says no...and doctors without a clue.

Have you seen your doctor?  I hear there's some little blue pills that can help with that.

Oh, and get them from a reputable outlet, not online from a shady pill peddler.  I heard of a bloke who ordered Viagra online to help with his flagging libido, and they sent him the wrong anatomical type.  Now he can't get to sleep cos his eyelids are up all night.  Then there was the bloke who got one stuck in his throat.  Now he has a stiff neck and can't shake his head when his wife asks if he'd like some more of her home-made gherkin ice cream.

Knowing your luck, though, you'd get the right type of Viagra and forget that you're home alone for the weekend.
