"Ping" is broken

Any ideas on how I can fix this in my mod...

 

When I try to "ping" a teammate, it will do the "rally" animation above the planet that I can see when I'm zoomed in (that's fine)...but when i zoom all the way out, there's no indication of a ping on that planet and teammates see nothing.  I know there should be a yellow highlight around the planet I'm pinging.  This is really annoying when there are a lot of planets and i keep trying to show my teammate something.  Any ideas on how to fix this?  Which files control the "ping" behavior?

Are you using rally button for factories or are you using ping button when you try to ping them. I dont think there should be rally animation when you ping something. 

It works fine on my side. You can always try to reinstall the game

when u use particleforge, u see that the "ping" animation effect is the same as the "rally" animation.  That works fine, my problem is that when I am ZOOMED OUT all the way, i see no indication of a "ping"...When I go back to stock game or another person's mod, it works fine...only in my mod is it broken.  Any ideas ppl? PLZ?

I just figured it out...I screwed up the Unit_Main.tga file in the textures folder of my mod....oops.
