Adding Peace elements to Sins

So far sins is all about fighting. I have a suggestion to add a civilian structure.

Each planet under your command can give you a mission to protect a spawned trade or civilian convoys to be escorted to some other Star base/Civilian or Military Structures (Heck could be Engineers repairing Gauss Cannons). Each convoy will be then escorted by your ships to be protected by pirate raids or Enemy ships. It is like a particular planet giving the home-world a mission and in case of failure/success, the respective planet allegiance would be affected.

And in diplomacy there could be a UNO type orbital structure hosting diplomatic envoys from all players or allied players.

While I don't know if your convoy idea is exactly possible, a lot more could be done to give players more noncombat things to do with Diplomacy at least. Unfortunately that thing doesn't quite get the buzz of new units, weapons, factions etc.

Further, I advise that the Devs add custom map sharing to Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion.

peace is a lie; there is only 'Open Fire' and 'Reload'.

I think that its a good idea, but if you had a huge Empire you might end up getting bogged down with completing those sorts of missions instead of trying to fight off your enemys. But it would be nice to be able to go even further into the workings of an Empire.

this is the only area where Sins is really weak imo. Especially in larger maps, planets become nothing but resources, without personality or life; a few empire sim elements would be awesome alongside some cool side missions.

however I doubt a mod can give this, and so this would have to come from the core sins game
