Help Stop Internet Censorship!

I would think that the SoaSE community would have SEVERE interest in internet censorship bills that are being heard in congress right now? Please dig into this issue and encourage your friends and family to educate themselves on the situation as the ramifications these bills will likely have over the internet. He is talking about the Stop Online Piracy Act that is going through congress right now.

Basically, it would provide the law enforcement the tools to shut down any website that they deem to be infringing.

If you read up on this and want to oppose it, I encourage you to go straight to the contact pages at your House member's and Senators' web sites and type a personal letter. That shows a stronger sentiment than a petition signature or message pushed via an interest group. The MPAA and RIAA are out of control, and it's sad to see that a 'new economy' outfit like Netflix is on board with this egregious effort to create a back door path to blacklists.
