Am I tied to Impulse/GameStop NOW forever?

Hey all,

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I wasn't able to find an exact answer. I am curious to know if all my purchased games are tied forever to Impulse/GameStop NOW or if this will change in the near future. I am aware that anything I bought specifically on Impulse will still be tied to my account, but does that apply to retail Stardock games? I currently have Sins of a Solar Empire & Demigod retail with Entrenchment on digital and when checking under my products on the Stardock store all are listed as requiring Impulse even my retail purchases. I was also curious if I could tie them to another third-party service but that has been clearly answered in multiple threads here :grin: .

I am fairly certain that you will have full access to these when StarDock Central becomes available to the public for downloads, patches and re-installs.

So SDC will be their new (old again?) way to update/re-install retail and Stardock store sold games or all games including those sold via other digital distribution vendors?

My biggest concern is that my retail Stardock games don't end up being tied forever to a vendor I really don't want to use.

All your games should migrate to SDC.  At the moment, you can get GalCiv 2 Ultimate and Sins: Trinity at store.stardock.com/myaccount/products
