Posibilidad Rebellion en Español (spanish)

Muchos juegos grandes y no tanto estan tambien en español, una de las preocupaciones mias es si cuando tenga rebellion si lo voy a entender todo y cuanto tiempo tardara eso. tengo trinity y preordene rebellion, me hize fans, me gusta la estrategia, los planetas, etc es el juego ideal para mi.

Aparte aydaria mucho para que se juege más multijugador

Tambien hay un juego de starcock de magia (no me acuerdo exactamente como se llama) muy interesante, pero no pienso en comprarlo porque esta solo en ingles y aparenta ser muy complejo para entenderlo si no esta en spanish

Will be great to have Rebellion in Spanish since it is the second language worldwide after Mandarin...

Fan made translation already exist but not for the recent version... take a look at https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/376133 for sins 1.191, Ent 1.051, Dip 1.21 and the mod Distant Star 0.99 B3

So I downloaded the Diplomacy 1.21 string file from this location.

I also compared the English.str from Diplomacy 1.34 and Diplomacy 1.32 to identify the differences.

The first 172 entries in my Spanish.str contain a msn translation of the original Ironclad English text. The remaining 6300 entries are from the original Diplomacy 1.21 spanish link provided by Thoumsin.

Feel free to edit or massage any of the English to Spanish converted text as I can't make any claim to how well the various strings translated.

Also note, some of the 172 entries may be duplicate IDs further in the string file. This is ok as Sins uses the first string encountered.

habia descargado la traduccion 1.32 en http://www.clandlan.net/foros/index.php?/topic/48412-sins-of-a-solar-empire-trinity-mod-distant-stars-099-b3/ pero algunas veces me aparecia un minidump cuando aplicaba o desaplicaba ese mod, deje un comentario en la página, al tiempo fijandome en la carpeta de lo minidump aparicia justamente aparecia el mod spanish. lo use con la version correspondiente, desde que se actualize no lo volvi a utilizar, tambien para acostumbrarme con el english de los mod... aproposito esta muy bueno! sins of the fallen, me vengo descargando los test hace mucho. Desde que tengo la version actual 1.34 anda mejor el rendimiento (no me animo a probar de nuevo la traduccion)

Creo que seria bueno que stardock oficialmente lo haga al español, seria mas estable, y FACIL DISPONIBILIDAD PARA LA GENTE!...

Well, maybe you can invite some of your Spanish friend who play sins here and ask then to post in these topic...

History have show that if enough people request something, Stardock make everything possible to make it true... increase limit for modders, planed custom map sharing for online player in rebellion, etc...

In the last month, we have already see several topic related to localization... recently, a Stardock devs have post a updated .str for German or French ( don't remember wish one )...

If a lot of people request localization, maybe rebellion will become multi-language... all good for the Stardock sales...

As for Distant star, actual version is 0.99 beta 5 for 1.32 with a little patch 1.34... i don't think that the old Spanish DS translation can be the real problem for mini-dump... maybe some "string not found error"... with the patch dip 1.33 some entry was removed from the entity.manifest...

Maybe try the following... download DS 0.99 B5 for dip 1.32 at http://distantstars.mmobase.com/diplomacy/Distant_Stars_(D)_0.99_B5_[73603744].7z , install it in the 1.34 directory... download the patch for 1.34 at http://sites.google.com/site/steelers086/gamefiles/DS_D1.34compatible.rar , install it... download and install the spanish .str for DS from the link in you last post... during play, you will maybe have some "string not found" but i hope, no mini-dump...

Stardock se puede tomar mucho tiempo para eso... tambien menos rebellion ya no se va actualizar a cada rato una nueva version. Tomandolo a mediano, largo, plazo

lo que no habia entendido era reply 4.

Tambien hay que tener en cuenta que la gente supone  que eso (el lenguaje español y otros, traducciones) las empresas de juegos ya lo saben. estamos en el 2011. la gente cree que las empresas chicas no lo hacen porque no pueden, y que las grandes no lo hacen...?

I agree with Thoumsin... It would be nice if Stardock/Ironclad officially supported Spanish.

Part of your earlier problem with minidumps could be due to required strings missing in the English.str. There a few Strings that represented Enumerations in the game which ultimately cause mini-dumps if the Game Engine cannot find them. This is definitely the case with trying to use a Diplomacy 1.21 string file with Diplomacy 1.3x.

I will say I briefly tested the Diplomacy 1.34 string file noted above and did not encounter any mini-dumps which usually occur early if the String file is missing critical ID's.

Awesome, I'm glad you are playing my mod.

I am working on a Spanish version of all the text using the Diplomacy 1.34 Spanish text posted above as a base. It will of course be automated translations which unfortunately may come out a bit odd in some situations but it may be better than the alternative. As an example, I'm using google's translate to understand your Spanish which I would not otherwise be able to do :)

Well zombierus5 have compare the 1.21 version with the 1.34 and have only translate the difference with bing... since you have now a good 1.32 translation from clandlan.net, there is only a few line changed from the 1.32 to the 1.34

Since Rebellion will have everything from sins + Ent + Dip, if Stardock use already fan made translation for diplomacy, they need only to translate the new things added in Rebellion... fan have already made 90% of the needed work... so, it is now the time to plea for multi-language rebellion... Rebellion is not yet in beta, and will be released in around 1/2 year... 

If rebellion is released multi-language, when patch are released only a few line need to be corrected/modified in the .str ... not really a big work...

Well, when sins was released in 2008, nobody have think that the game will know so much success... It have take a few month for Stardock/Ironclad to find a distributor for European distributor with localized .str ( German / French )... The distributor have never translate any patch... so localized version have directly fall back to english due to patch... was the job of kalipso to follow up since we have pay them a lot more money that if we have buy directly on Stardock...

On the other hand, Stardock/Kalypso was more lucky with russian... Trinity ( called "sins gold" there ) have his own russian update from their local distributor in the form of localized exe archive ( no impulse involved )...

Well, for make the long story short, original sins budget was low ( 1.000.000$ ) and it have not allow in house translation... but today, with 2.000.000 copy of the game sell and that rebellion being somehow a pricey expansion with a lot of sale potential, i think that we can ask for in home localization... if for each copy of rebellion sell, 0.5$ is used for localization and that the game is sell at 1.000.000 copy, it mean a potential budget of 500.000$ for translation, more that enough... well, if they make Rebellion with 5 or 6 languages, it will generate a new wave of sale in foreign country ( i mean country where english is not the native language ) who will lead to extra income...

Problem is not about 2011... sins was released in 2008 on a very low budget without room for localization... Rebellion is a stand-alone, Stardock know their sins sales number and that sales will be good ( Trinity was somehow a test )... time that they increase their sale number by selling their game everywhere in the world with localization...

Hola, estoy traduciendo el DS para la versión 1.32:

Ya tengo muchos avances entre los strings 7119 (1.32) y los 7181 (MOD DS .99 B5) y comparando los archivos con el DiffDoc he localizado y añadido las diferencias para que concuerden el número conrrecto de strings. Pero me sigue saliendo esto:

You may want to look at the conversion I did in reply #2. I made several automated translations to support the new Diplomacy 1.34 conversion for text that changed between the releases. These are the first 172 entries which you could improve the translation of if you wanted.

I could probably pull out the Distant Stars specific entries and add those to the top of my Diplomacy 1.34 Spanish.str and post that up later. There's a few differences from the core Diplomacy 1.34, but nothing too major.

Here's a link to hopefully a Distant Stars 1.00 Diplomacy 1.34 compatible Spanish String file.

I did run the new file against my entity validator and which did not find any missing strings so it should be good. I also ran a quick test of the converted file. Similar to my previous Spanish conversion all of my modified entries are at the top of the file which will overlay any duplicates that follow.

theres a lot more important features that should be much higher on the todo list than stringtranslation.
