Activation/registration problems

Hello!

I bought Russian jewel edition of Sins 27/12/11 and installed English version. Version of game - Diplomacy 1.0. I have created Impulse account and tried to upgrade my Sins but I can't register it. Impulse says that my serial number is not valid. 

I tried to write it in many variations including o instead of 0 etc. But all is in vain.

By the way, GalCiv2 Twilight of The Arnor bought in the same day in the same shop had been installed and upgraded via Impulse perfectly.

I wrote a mail in Stardock support describing this problem with no answer yet. 

Maybe some of gamers met the same? How could I resolve this?

So you got a physical copy? I think that means you had to have gotten Trinity (did the box look something like this?), which is all the Sins games in one. Just Diplomacy was only released digitally. So if you tried to register your game as Diplomacy the serial would be wrong because your serial is for trinity.

You're right, the box looks as you showed. But in Main Screen there's a little mark in the lower right corner "Diplomacy 1.0". 

I forgot to mention that I tried to register the game as Trinity too and I failed too . 

I just want to be patched with actual patches (now I have only 1.011, Russian gamers have a real poor support from our localizers...). So I installed English version to make my upgrades easier...

Wait.......you can update the Russian version but not the English version?  Or did you get an "acquired" copy of the 1.011 update??

Well, game gives me the choice whether version - English or Russian - I would want to install. I install English (keeping in memory our poor localizers). Game shows me the "Diplomacy 1.0" on the Main Screen. Having information about 1.34 update I try to activate my copy via Impulse but failed. So I download from Russian localizer's site www.snowball.ru/sins two available patches - 1.01.018 and 1.011.021. They suit for both Russian and English versions (there's an option in installer). So now I have English 1.011.021 and I can't run it because any of 3 .exe file in game map (Sins, Diplomacy and Entrenchment.exe) require Stardock Activation. And my serial doesn't work.
