Where are you trying to register the game at?
If you have only the base game, you will need to download Impulse (now GameStop PC Downloads app, as it was sold to GameStop early last year) and use it to update the game. We are working on making all of our products available directly via the Stardock store and through a new download/update app, however the original version of Sins is not yet available there.
