Patching the game

So i've been trying to patch the vanilla game for a few days now with no success. Of course, it isn't that simple. I got the game maybe two years ago as a physical version. I had impluse and all was well with the world, the game was great, ect.

I uninstalled the game, uninstalled impulse, and uninstalled just about everything else as I would be out of the country for at least 6 months with unreliable access to a computer. So I want to play the game again now, and maybe get the new content like diplomacy, but I don't remember my password and username for impulse, and I cant re-register the game with a different account. I also have no idea what my e-mail account is that I used for impulse. Now I don't expect anyone to believe me, and i'm not asking for another copy of the game or anything, all I want to do is install the patches. I've been looking around for a while, and it seems like the only way I can get the patches would be through an illegal torrent or something. I would prefer to get the patch files the normal way, but at this point i'm feeling I have no other options. Someone please give me a solution.

Spam every email you have at the impulse reset password?

Also if you're going to get trinity, you can probably get that (which includes the base game + expansions) for the same price as getting the two expansions individually. And you can choose to get it directly from Stardock or on Steam if you don't like Impulse.
