I don't even know where to start...

So, I got this game a while ago, simply by walking into a store, seeing it, and buying it. I like space. First things first, I tryed the diffrent races in singleplayer and quickly figured out that I like advent most. And the game in general.

After trying to play online, I figured out I had a big problem.

Short, you guessed it, it didn't work.

Long, I soon figured out I don't even know wich version of this game I have. reading some forum posts, either these post where outdated, or I have an outdated version. If, I don't know how to find out, or how to patch.

Ironclad online also doesn't work for me. I try to log in (and the data are right, since I can post here), but after 2 sec of nothing (likely trying to reach the server) I get a message telling me that connection to Ironclad Online has been dropped. Btw, the same thing happnes when I just type nonsense as login. This again could be due to my version being outdated.

 

I have bought a normal DVD wich I installed normally. The game is not connected to steam or something like that.

So... can I get help with this?

You need to update via Impulse. Your no up the right patch so it boots you off ICO.

 

To check what version your running look at the bottom right.

hmm, would steam work too? I don't know about impulse, but I do have steam.

Impulse is found here. www.impulsedriven.com It is now run by Gamestop.

If you wish to use Steam you can find the version ( original ) you have plus the expansion packs on Steam under the name Trinity only (highly recommend getting Trinity in some form as it really adds to the game play).

As for buying it on Steam...I would. You get both expansions with Trinity. Both are great additions to the game!

 

If you cant do that though just use Impulse, register your game with your cd key, let it update, then uninstall Impulse.

and another place to buy then download from is the stardock store (https://www.stardock.com/games/)(btw this will get you to the latest trinity and in a single file download of 1GB
