Occupation Planet -- too easy to take?

I messed around a little bit in single player and easily took down the Occupation Planet with my titan, which seems a little anti-climactic.  I think it should be harder to take it down.  I recommend upgrading the Vasari starbase and maybe adding a couple more of those special occupation capital ships.

After I colonized the planet, nothing really happened.  I thought there would be a countdown timer like for the research victory option.  Do you have to max out the Occupation Planet's health and population for an occupation victory?

Certainly the units at the planet need some upgrades. Are you sure you had Occupation enabled as a victory condition? Because maps have the Artifact planet even if you don't have the occupy victory checked enabled. Another thing to add, those defending the Artifact planet are neutrals so if you are TEC rebels and get the research you can't attack the neutrals. Thus you would either have to avoid the research or just never be the first one to attack the artifact planet.

Both the Starbase and Titan could do with beefing up, maybe make the fleet a little larger too just so there is some prep and build up required to take the planet.

Another thought on occupation victory. There is only one path/phase lane to the planet. In the game I played I threw down 4 star bases right where ships must jump to get to the artifact planet before I attacked the planet. Needless to say, as my opponents jumped in to stop me, the star bases shredded them with ease. There needs to be a secondary path to get to the planet from the star to prevent this type of camping before a attack is even started.
