Black screen

When I start up Rebellion I get a black screen and I do get sound. I can skip the intro with escape and I get the menu music. When I alt-tab I see 1/4th of the screen and when I create a screenshot I see all of the screen. I can't even press anything on button to navigate.

 

I have the latest drivers for my vid card.

 

Specs:

2.0 GHz i7 Quad Core

8GB RAM

Nvidia GeForce GR 555M (2GB).

 

What can it be?

Did you get a minidump message when you tab into windows ?

Bescuase if i start i have a black screen , the minidumpsound and message is w8ing for me in windows.

 

i have create a Topic about what i have done to try to  dissolving this problem,

Hmm I was unsure if this would be listed as a performance bug, I have sent the mail.

 

Sadly no (mini)dump. There is no actual crash either, the game "runs" in the background.

Yep, same here. Followed all the usual drivers/compatability stuff but to no avail. Sins Entr/Diplo did the same until I dialled down the resolution, but I bought those on Impulse, and Reb on Steam, so no way the settings can be changed in an old version and then Reb will follow. Annoying.

Not sure if its the same thing or not, but when I load Rebellion it goes to a black screen and sits there for a minute or two then goes on and runs fine.  How long have you given it before killing the process?

Same here, exact replication of bug. Also, it happened to me with early versions of Entr and Diplo, only solution was to lower the resolution. Can't work out how to do that when booting from Steam.

I can play rebbelion now.

A simpel driver update from Nvidia(grafic card) makes it possible for me.

i had downloaded driver before form dell, they must have been older version.

Maybe you check your drivers ?

When I start Rebellion I have to stare at a black screen myself. Task Manager says that the client is not responding. I always give it time to start up, and it always pulls through for me. It is still an issue, though, that needs to be fixed.

I've been having the same problem too. There's the sound and the cursor and when I alt tab I see the top left quarter of the menu...
