At least they look pretty.  I was a little disappointed in that I was hoping for the addition of one or two more planet types.  Maybe they should up the population on Moons to 35 or 40 to make them a little more valuable and distinguishable from asteroids.

I Think the whole idea of moon is each player on random maps  could start  off more balanced, now you are guaranteed with a moon to start with, not a dead astroid and battle group consisting 3 heavy kodiaks surrounding ur capital planet.

In addition to the antimatter bonus, each color star has a different ability. Some are positive like shield regeneration, others are negative like disabling passive regeneration or reducing shield mitigation.

I don't mind the moons just being slightly better asteroids, but they need to make the mesh bigger, the regular asteroids seem bigger.

what maps have moons?  I haven't seen them

I think moons need one more HP upgrade as they are far more substantial then an asteroid.

I think there is only one model, just different colors. Not sure though.

Maybe we can get some lunar abilities as the beta is updated.

I'm not sure--blue stars block passive regeneration now.  I think green stars make you wish you had the fleet the other guy had (joke).  We also have solar prominence's as a particle effects on suns which is a really nice touch.

Blue star: Passive Regeneration Disabled.

Green star: Shield Mitigation 10% (negative change)

Yellow star: Shield Restore Rate 20% (positive change)

Red star: Weapon Cooldown 15% (negative change), Weapon Range 10% (negative change)

I really like what they've setup with the suns both in updated effects as well as the abilities! The moons look like ... gray cheese balls. They really do not look very good in my opinion. It would be nice to have a better looking mesh for them (similar to our moon, or Titan, etc).
