Captical Command Points

Just posting about a small bug I found when you queue any skills for the capital ship command points you can build the capital ship before the training his done for the points. It should only allow you to queue the capital ship and ready to build once the points are done training. I've had this happen several times in different games.

Edit: Never mind, misunderstood OP

This is not a bug, this is working as intended...

No, it's not working as intended, usually the ship won't begin construction until the crew is ready.

OP is saying that as soon as he queues the research, he can not only queue the capital ship for construction, but it starts building, despite no capital ship crew actually being available.

@OP That's how everything in SoaSE work actually. As long as the pre-reqs are queued up, you can add the things those researches unlock to your build queue. The structures/buildings will not start construction until their pre-reqs are met however.

You can queue up structures after queuing up the logistics/tactical planetary upgrade that would provide the room to build them.

You can queue up frigates and cruisers once you've queued up the researches that unlock them.

Also worth noting, if you're researching, say, Hoshikos and add a bunch of them to a build queue, then add some Gardas to the same planet's build queue, the Gardas will immediately start building even though they are later in the queue than the Hoshikos. As soon as the research for Hoshikos is complete, the Gardas will stop mid-construction and the queue will restart back with the Hoshikos. When the Hoshikos are complete, the half-finished Garda will resume where it left off.

Nope. this is actually a bug.

THere is a preety serious exploit associated with it, so, it was reported straight to the devs, according to the "what to do if you find a serious exploit" thing.

So. known issue. Dont investigate further.

I've always been able to queue a capital ship, frigate, or cruiser as soon as I choose the research to make it available, but I haven't noticed it actually start construction or anything.  As an example, I click to research the LRM Frigate.  Go into my ship build interface and queue up a bunch of LRM's then some of the light frigates.  It will build the light frigates until the research for the LRM is complete.  Its always done this as far as I can remember.
