With my other retired or older computers, or computers without dedicated graphics, I let the 'lag' go. It made sense.

This is my rig. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

AMD 1100T x6 Phenom II running 3.99 GHZ

Win 7 Ultimate 64

16GB DDR3

OS RAID AMD 2+0 Stripe Raid 0 - Mushkin chronos ssd

Storage AMD 2+1 Raid 5 - standard spin drives

3x GeForce GTX 470 (overclocked)

 

I would think that this system could easily handle the game played at 4x speed, nevermind normal speed.
