Debris needs to be more unique

debris needs to be more unique

After playing all of the SOASE's i have realized that only a few ships have their own kind of debris. i will admit it is cool to have debris in the game but it would be much more awesome if you could tell which ship was just destroyed. like in startrek 2008 they go in toward the planet and when they come out they see their whole fleet completely anniahlated and their are actually almost whole ships floating around. but anyway why not do that in sins. like the vasari carrier cruiser almost half of the ship is left. so i thank it would just make this game insane if their was massive pieces of ships just floating around. i mean dont get me wrong i love how there already is debris but after destoying a TEC rebel titan i dont like to have just a bunch of pieces that arent even in the ship itself. so thats what i think.

anyone else feel this way

Good idea. I think it would be really cool if each titan had at least one big unique debris piece.

right that would just be epic if there was part of the gun of the ragnarok

the debris from the titan need to look like they were launched in different directions, not just "dumped in" after the explosion effects

Yes, good idea. It could add something.

We are currently working on a new engine to open up new avenues for physics and polygons rendered on-screen. With rebellion we have optimized the engine and added a ton of new graphical features and for future installments expect even more.

RiddleKing, you work at Stardock? You should get one of those cool little Stardock logos like Yarlen has. With "future installments" do you mean further expansions for Sins of a Solar Empire or a sequel using the same engine?

I am happy that Stardock pays attention to the little things in their games that are usually not upheld as the things which make the game great, but the details that make the game a more in-depth and engaging experience.

100% supported! What i'd love to see is ship debris animations akin to SW: Empire at War, now they were awesome animations!

No, he doesn't.  Riddleking is a troll.  Ignor him.

OK. But does that mean that what he says about the new polygon-rendering engine is false?

If so that would be a big disappointment.

How do you know that he is a troll?

What he said is actually in the Rebellion features list. He may be trolling every now and then, but what he said here was completely correct.
