Anyone else sick of playing the TEC

Well idk about you guys but I'm burnt out playing rebellion because everytime i click on that icon i know that the only thing to expect is TEC TEC TEC! Devs can you give us alteast an aproximate date to when we get the other races. I personally love the Vasari and Advent. the TEC is just soo boring to play for me to the point I dont want to play anymore. Fortunatley i decided to play when the Advent was able to be played then was later taken away but seriously anyone else sick of the TEC?

Yes, I was never really a fan of the TEC. They were a good race to learn the mechanics and strategies of the since they have such a strong eco and durable ships. I've played dozens of matches in rebellion so far and am burnt out myself. I think all of the things I found have been fixed or noted already. Maybe we'll get the advent back this week, cheers.

I'm not really a hardcore player so I liked how all the things about TEC were straightforward, but I am getting tired of playing against only TEC :P

Yes any race seems bland when faced against its counterpart...  But it is important for us beta testers to buck up and deal with it because we want to provide useful data for effective game balance.  The beta is to improve the game first.  Second place goes to us getting to see new content before it is released.

I am not going to play TEC for a while.  I am afraid that if I play it too much, then I will forever lose intrest in it.

Edit: never mind, I am going to play now.  I waited a whole 15 min.  I am good now.

I jumped onto steam so fast when i heard the advent were available. Favorite race of all time (beam weapons are so pretty =D) and i didnt get to play because the game kept crashing on me on startup =(

Anyone else sick of playing the TEC seeing threads about wanting to play the other races?

They'll come when the team is ready for us to test them.

Sick of posts? Don't click on em. Respectively, sick of playing TEC? Don't play.

i personally like the tec but its kind of annoying to play against yourself

so i agree

Tedium during beta testing? No way... (super sarcasm)

And yeah, if you are bored/burnt out/not actually testing, go do something else.

Just be glad this isn't your job.

TEC are like the Terran in Starcraft.  They've got some flavor, but it's not as spicy as Protoss (Advent) or Zerg (Vasari).

I want to load my plate up with spice!

I dont buy the balancing argument, fighting vs an identical copy of yourself you will always be balanced. It like saying who would win in a fight Chuck Norris or Chuck Norris its always gunna be Chuck Norris

The biggest thing IMO is there is no lite at the end of this tunnel.

With no release schedule for the various stages of this Beta, eg releasing the Advent, then after so long releasing the Vasari. It just seems to be dragging on forever and ever and ever.

Its pack of skittles with only green ones, sure there nice but for the sake of all that is tasty give us some variety.

At the very least tell us when we can expect something other than green skittles!!!!

They said we should be seeing 2 new factions this week, and given the recent slipup, I'd (cautiously) expect the Advent back in by the end of the week.

But you're not. What about Rebel Vs Loyalist?

Yeah, Yarlen said that, reply #31, last Thursday March 29, in the MAKING FACTIONS AVAILABLE NOW thread.  I quote:

"While I appreciate the eagerness people have for playing the other races, as was mentioned by others, we need focused testing to get good data.

That said, don't be surprised if an update shows up late next week with two more factions... O:) "

I was able to play the Advent yesterday on my game after a decently sized download but I'm unable to pick them today (after a midnight small update to my game that occured while I was playing and made it crash). I was taking my time and just testing Advent out, especially the titan. Most of its abilities were unimpressive but it does have an instant acquire planet feature. That was pretty cool. Just get close tot he planet and "the will of the Unity will bring the planet under your control".

The other features I remember were, one where it would draw on up 50 friendly ships in a small area and then channel their rage into a beam weapon that would do some decent damage to enemy structures every 20 seconds or so. Only effective against structures, starbases and titans.

The other abilities where the usual heath boast, damage boast like the TEC and a stat nerfing ability around the titan ship, reduced enemy speed by like 30% and damage by 25%.

The last one was something about taking over control of enemy ships not effective on starbases, titans or structures.

The firepower of the Advent titan seemed unimpressive, I was pretty much at a dead lock with a starbase until I introduced a capital ship to tilt the odds in my favor.

The culture bonuses seemed to be missing but I expect that's because it was beta.

There was a new capital ship that was fat on one end and skinny on the other...its abilities were pointless....when it died I didn't care.

Edit: I remembered another ability of the advent Titan, it can increase its antimatter stats.

For the last time, Titans are not solo starbase killers.

ESPECIALLY not the Advent ones, they're support ships.

Are you kidding? Fracture is amazing - this will be any Advent Rebel player's second, or possibly first, capital ship. The Advent never had an ability to reduce armor, and now they have. This will make Chaotic Burst an even bigger threat, seeing that it will be able to cause more damage. Also, Lethargy will seriously hinder other Titans, especially the TEC Rebel Titan.

Wait, damn I didn't even see that.

The Discord is the best thing since grated cheese.
