Space ponies?

Its a planet bonus that does nothing but unlock that achievement. You probably got it from capturing and exploring an occupied planet, they seem to have it every time. Its something of a running community joke since the original Sins.

Good to know, still don't understand how that has any relation to Ponies but it sure had me thinking "Um...What?"

It's a joke from the original Sins beta, it actually has nothing to do with the new Ponies.

Space ponies are the dangerous enemy the vasari are fleeing from.

Don't be silly, they're merely interstellar transport for the vast hoard of Care Bears the Vasari are fleeing from.

Been here since the original Sins and I still don't know where that joke came from.  I mean sure, I know it was from the beta, but I'd like to know what it's basis was.  Did people blame bugs on the space ponies or something?  Idk..

Just a guess but I've always imagined something like this:

Designer: We need X, Y and Z features in the beta by Tuesday!

Programmer: I suppose you want a pony with that?

Designer: Sure whatever, this is a Sci-fi thing though, better make it a space pony.

Programmer: Sigh.

can i point out that the planet that unlocks it there are actually small ponies running around it somewhere (yes in space at l;east in the other games) i was following a strike craft zoomed and and saw heard of ponies run past and was like wait   WTF

Never actually unlocked the achievement though, how sad.......
