Some Advent Issues

Okay i love the advent but i noticed somethings that i think the devs should fix. (These are graphical things i found)

1. When the Progenitor is in phase space it sticks out of the phase thingy.

2. When the Discord capital ship bombs planets the missles come out of no-where

3. For the TEC the spot where the credits, metal and crystal if you look closley there is a background and with the advent its just a solid black background same for the rankings

4. The gravity wells aren't filled in with your team color its just a ring around it

You probably don't play on the highest possible graphical settings then. For me it looks like in the trailer with all settings maxed out at least.

The planet bombing missiles seem to appear out of nowhere for the Advent loyalist titan, and the rebel titan has the TEC planet bombing missile launch sound. Not sure about the Loyalist titan.

For number 4, I think that's intentional according to the beta change notes... Although I preferred it how it was. Must be some reason for the change, though...

I found some bugs too, I think.

The discord battleship has its sideways batteries mixed up, as in some of its left side lasers shoot through it at the right side and vice versa.

The loyalist titan stopped autoattacking for me, it still fired when I commanded it and still autofired abilities. but its kind of annoying having it just float there unless you specifically tell it to attack. Once it attacks it does attack multiple targets per bank, which is good. So its just autoaquireing targets thats the issue.

I have no clue if i accidentally something or if this is a bug, so if someone feels like trying to reproduce this, or explain what i did (wrong), please do so.

The teamcolors seem somewhat lacking on both titans, loyalist doesn't have any team coloring asside from its thrusters, the rebel titan has it in places i didnt expect. this is more personal opinion then an actual bug though.

Advent fleet bug - When an Advent fleet enters phase space, the fleet has a chance to split up and go different routes. This happens randomly, even when you have the fleet command (Move Grouped) toggled. They all enter warp at the same time, but they will just randomly choose a route to take to a planet.

Now that the Unity has returned, I'll post some minor buglets:

1) Advent tech trees still use TEC names.

Eg:Military, Defence, Civilian, Diplomacy, should be Hostility, Security, Harmony, Understanding etc.

2) Mine Control ability icon for the Aeria is not correct, looks just like the Incendiary Shells icon from the Marza.

3) Foremost sections of the hull of the Rebel's titan project through the shield - visible when under fire.

4) Titan targeting priority still seems a bit broken, although I haven't seen it as bad as NexiKuros's post.

It will often target units that pose little threat instead of, for example, a starbase that is inflicting large amounts of damage.

So far though, it looks good, I look forward to some more testing ...

New, I can agree with the post by NexiKuro. Coronata just kinda sits there during certain situations, here's some scenarios i've scene.

1. Titan is in the same gravity well as your primary fleet, enemy scout jumps into the planets well. Primary fleet engages, Titan just sits there and does nothing.

2. Primary fleet engages in a fleet / fleet battle. Coronata just watches from the side lines unless you directly tell it who or what to engage.

There's more, i'm sure, but at this moment i'm simply finding the bugs as this is hour 2 for me.

I actually thought all the squiggles and markings on the Rebel Titan would be team coloured, I was sadly disappointed.

I'd like to add to that that it only fires autofires its laser ability if its doing:

1: nothing, it will autotarget an enemy ship, fire the ability and sit there waiting for the cooldown to end.

or

2: if its told to attack anything it can fire the laser on, it will automatically. But it wont fire the laser if told to attack stuff the laser cant attack; if you tell it to attack a frigate it wont fire the laser on nearby capitals. (even if its attacking them as an additional front target)

I think this is working as intended, so no problem there really.

I think it(the bug) started happening once i bought the Subjugation abbility, it would make some sense since it affects the regular attacks. I can also confirm that quiting sins and reloading the game changes nothing, so i can send my savedgame if that would help.

EDIT: I did put it on hold position for a while cleaning out a piratebase, maybe that has something to do with aswell? (mind you not attacking at all =/= hold position)

EDIT 2: Since i havent been able to recreate it I'm pretty sure this is just the "Ships Not Attacking - Fixed internally." bug listed on the BETA Known Issues post.

I have noticed that the titans still tend to prioritize strike craft as their targets. Thought this was supposed to be fixed by now... :S

One more minor graphical annoyance, the discord battleship is BIG, a bit too big infact. Right now it basically dwarfs all the other advent capships, and since the radiance was already their smallest capship, and they fly next to eachother in fleets all the time, the size diffrence is rediculous to see. I'm all for reducing its size by 10-15% (making it about as long as their carrier). Its texture doesnt make it appear particulary big which helps with how odd it looks compared to other advent capships.

I seem to be in the minority who actually like how big the Discord is.

the discord looks too..... organic like a living animal or something and its kinda ugly, and yes i think the size should be decreased too

End of Mr's quote

I dont mind it being big, it fits pretty well with their colony ship, but its current skin makes it appear small when you've got no other ships to compare it too. Especially the top plating. If they modify the texture to have more small details and other stuff that make it seem bigger it would fit better. Now whenever I have one flying around solo for a while and then join it up with a fleet im all "WTFBBQ Y U SO LARGE??"

The vasari colony ship is also pretty massive but it *looks* big too.

I like the organic look, it reminds me of various mechanical bosses in Final Fantasy XIII, it's sexy(applies to their titans too). And it seems like an extension of the Advents style. The front beak bit is slightly pushing it(yet somehow fitting?), and the bottom plating(the teamcolored patern especially) is kind of vasari styled(again, slight reskin would fix it), but overal it fits well.

EDIT: thats Mr. Haze; quote didnt work right with the period.

EDIT2: lots of stuff between (/)s and some rephrasings.
