Is just me or do other people also see that the AI in Sins Rebellion is a lot less aggressive than in Diplomacy?
I'am playing on unfair level and in about 5 games, I had the AI not yet putting up a serious fight.
Just take as an example my last game:
- against 3 unfair AIs
- I build my second capital ship and take two planets
- I build some defense and start researching for titan
- I build my titan
No reaction at all till here, there was just one very small probe by the AI during 2 hours of game play...
And now my titan is wiping out the first AI player.
In Diplomacy in the same time frame, I would have had to fight off multiple attacks. From serious early on probing attacks, to even attacks with Capital ships which would have been a serious threat...But in rebellion nothing of the kind.
As I do not like to play against other humans via the net, the AI is very important for me. In Diplomacy it was fun to fight the AI, it put up a good challenge and the only problem was, that the AI was only very rarely able to take out well defended star systems with a star base and max. defenses.
But in Rebellion I still have to see one serious attack by the AI.
For my feeling at the moment Rebellion goes just down the road so many other games out there did: improved graphics, just more of everything, beside AI. With this the game will get good ratings, but not stay long on my PC. Honestly I hope that Ironclad and Stardock will fix this till the release (or very shortly afterwards).
