Rebellion and impulse

Rebellion and impulse

So will my discounted purchase of rebellion be usable through impulse? If I only need steam to play the beta then I dont care and will wait for release but if I'm going to need to use steam to d/l or use my discounted copy I'll be very aggrevated. I'm hoping that my cd key will work on impulse and I'm planning on trying to register it soon but if it doesn't what are my options?

Agent, I'm a veteran of the game and community and, sadly, am feeling more and more the way you do. I have my favorites (games and mods), but given our common ground, I advice you to enjoy the classics and find other hobbies to fall back on.

Whatever you do, hope you find enjoyment in it.

thank you draakjacht, that is exactly what i plan to do

I'm sorry to hear you feel this way agentx250.

I had downloaded Impulse for the same reason you had. I also have steam. You may find that Steam has many fine games to offer, including some nice indie games. You may also find that the sales on steam are hard to beat (Especially when summer, thanks giving, Christmas rolls around). To say that Steam has no games that are worth it, might be glossing over their expansive catalog.

We are PC gaming. We like freedom to choose as we like. If you choose to not download steam, then it is you're choice, and more power to you. May I ask that you try steam out first with an open mind before you judge. Look at the store, the forums, and other games that use steamworks and how  the games are possibly improved for using it.

I understand not liking to have to get a service for just one game, but you don't have to keep steam up all the time. Who knows, you may like it. If you had Steam a while back, when it was still overly buggy, try it again.

I could go on, saying how Steamworks is a great service, how it helps the Dev. team, and thought them, us, but it has been said. I guess it could be worse.... They could of gone with Games for Windows Live.

Maybe Gamestop will take in your digital copy of Sins Rebellion as a used game

i have several games that are games for windows live and would of perferred that to steam actually since it's all based in the game. gamestop won't take back the game because i bought it through stardock directly to get my discounted version and while I appreciate your input and opinions my mind is set on this matter I will not run another client (especially steam if what I've been reading is true) for 1 single game.

Gamestop/Impulse is not involved with Rebellion, you have to ask Stardock directly.

Well, now you can uninstall Impulse, Install Steam, and have the same number of programs?

Or did you have other games on Impulse in addition to Sins?

Personally I was thrilled to hear it'd be a steam game, since I prefer to use Steam for all my games and only installed Impulse for Sins.

Prefer Games for Windows Live over Steam? Your a Troll, right? Its not baced in game. Its a Client like Steam

Read this, you will find steamworks as a SERVICE is far better than any other things

Also, Sins isn't listed as Steam Only on that list.
