First of all, unless you modded the game you only had 14 capships.

Secondly, in their own culture Advent (both Loyalist and Rebels) gain massive buffs to various attributes like shield strength and firepower. If you fought them in their own culture just sending in capitals and a Titan won't do you any good.

Third: Did you just tell your fleet what ships to attack first or did you also try microing their abilites? Capital ships are a lot more effective if you disable abilites that you currently do not need (i.e. damage propagation on the advent proginetor mothership), otherwise they needlessly drain your antimatter and/or are used automatically instead of abilites you need more simply because they use less antimatter and thus the first ability to become avialable to auto-use when your empty antimatter regenerates.

Fourth: The Titan may be the biggest ship in the Advent fleet, but it is very vulnerable while alone, unlike the TEC titans. Try taking away the Capital escorts first, they die faster and are actually the part keeping the Advent Titan alive (especially progenitor motherships, those buggers must go first or they regen their fleets shield over and over again).

Edit: Yes, the way AI builds fleets is bugged, no idea why. It's good they finally use all their capship slots on lower levels, but if they don't learn to spilt them up and build fleets around them again they won't be much of a challenge anymore.

You're right, Marius, but a Titan takes up two of the 16 slots. This leaves just 14 for capital ships.

On paper they look really weak, but maybe my views will change when I find a way to get rebellion and play test it.  Now, if you have that many advent capital ships against you, it really shouldn't come as much surprise that you lost.  Advent love their capitals, so it's not much of a surprise that the max would result in victory.

Also, if the Coronata had unyielding will, you really should have wiped out the fleet first.  That thing'll wipe out everything in front of it.

As for PVP, I doubt an Advent player would actually try and go for mass caps while his enemy builds up a fleet of cheap and nastys. I'd probably try a combination of Carriers and Corvettes to counter, corvette swarms are cheap to produce and annoying as hell right now.

Advent have always had a better super late game then TEC.  Crazy Fleet Synergy does that.  Waiting until every player has a mature fleet is not playing to the TEC's strengths.  TEC hits it's late game much earlier(better economy) and has a better early game.

If you hit the late game and the Advent's economy is close enough to yours that they fielded 12/14 of your army size(12 cap ships vs 14) you've already screwed up as TEC.

Also focusing the advent rebel titan is stupid.  If it has any frigates to eat it becomes nigh unkillable, and frankly it poses less of a threat then the 2-3 capital ships you could kill in the same time it takes to kill the titan(before it's ability to self heal comes into play).  Kill the progenitors first(make sure to interrupt them when they start channeling).

If possible don't fight advent within it's own cultural boundaries.

If you really want to stomp Advent late game though, play TEC loyals.  The advent army simply can't deal with disruptive matrix+other AoEs(most notably Marza ult) as they rely heavily on ability use to mitigate incoming damage.
