Rebellion Beta - Titans

After playing a few multiplayers we (my clan) have noticed that titans are a bit too easy to get. This might be just made easier for the beta but on small maps its way too easy to get zerged by somone rushing a titan. With almost no way to stop it unless you rush a titan as well, it reminds me of SC a bit in the single unit dependence, although all other aspects of the game are great.

In this instance it removes the majority of the game dynamic and leaves those eager beaver players having quite a large advantage over the players who want to build an empire.

My suggestion would be to increase the research level to 6 War labs rather than 4 to make it much more of a challenge and increase the cost of getting to the titan.  This would promote the use of diplomacy and empire building and make it a more powerful mid / end game unit rather than a rush unit.

Many thanks for such a great series of games so far!

Hmm I didn't realize there was another clan around in Sins. The only major clan that's still around is DT for Sins multiplayer I thought.

Titans are a bit easy to get so in reponse they actually nerfed the titan at level 1 so you can actually kill it but it's still a pretty big game changer. Your only hope against it if it hasn't leveled and you arn't too good with micro and such is to build a fully upgraded starbase. A fully upgraded starbase will win against the level 1 titan.

Or what you can try is to get a Dunov and use EMP charge on the titan so it can't pull out an AOE ablitiy and thus you will be able to spam LRMs without the fear of having them all die at once.

making them cost more and pushing the tech back for them wouldnt rly delay them like everyone thinks it will since ppl will get feed and still rush for them

and 15-20 hc can kill all but the TRT it need about 25 hc

One easy way to counter a titan is to mass up corvettes. The AoE will own them but all you have to do is micro behind the titan and attack and it cant turn even close to fast enough to face forward. Just remember that 100 corvettes are much cheaper in total cost than 1 titan.

That only works on the Ragnarov, and I guess the Coronata.

Disruption Matrix and Chaotic Burst will shred Corvettes no matter where they are.

Clans?  I have heard the word around, and I know what it means, but not relating to Sins.
