AI mid game break

Is anyone else having issues with the AI? I play on Hard and on Diplomacy they are deadly but now they attack in frequently and in tiny numbers then after about an hour or 2 they just stop building smaller ships altogether and just build capital ships. I think it has something to do with Titans, every time they build one they stop attacking and just build Capitals. My ally on one match was one of the only AI's not to build a Titan and still attacked the enemy but never build anything else other than frigates, corvettes, and the odd carrier now and then, no significant cruisers. Also their numbers were still pretty low.

I know this is a beta but it's difficult to keep interest through an entire game if half way your opponents just give up and pose no threat, also seeing as the AI in other sins games were fine. This issue seems to get fixed now and then then seems to resurface after another update or two.

It's been mentioned in a lot of threads, the ai has already made some improvements since the release. They used to just jump back and forth between two gravity wells letting you slowly kill them or just bypass them all together, amongst other things. I'm pretty sure once the major bugs and imbalances and knocked out they'll turn back to the AI since their capital ship fetish isn't game breaking.
