I don't know if these are really technical questions, but...

1. Depends, as of right now I think its a little bit expensive for what is provides. Now if they end up putting in scenarios or better multiplayer features that aren't in the current beta yet it may well end up worth it. If not, certainly won't hurt to wait for a price drop, at which point the game will be better patched an their will be more mods available anyways.

2. Don't think so, but they're really trying to optimize it.

3. No, but as you have trinity you can get a $10 discount.

1: Depends on what you expect out of it. The core game is still the same, but the addition of the titans and corvettes juggled fleet composition around quite a bit. Also every faction got one unique capship that fills its very own role. The factions can now be played quite differently depending on the sub-faction.

The game didn't reinvent the wheel, though. You might have to wait for sins 2 for that.

2: Not that I'd know about, bot others might know more aobut that than simple old me.

3: No

1. You're the only one who can decide, but I'm glad I bought it. The new titans and corvettes change and create new strategies, the new graphical enhancements are absolutely gorgeous and the new music is sweet. That being said, it is still a beta so there are bugs and annoyances. If you play online, be warned that the online waters aren't very populated yet. The new factions add more depth but there are still balancing issues. Vasari aren't here yet but I'm betting on them being added sometime early May. There are 6 new (optional) victory conditions that can vary gameplay quite a bit.

2. No idea, but runs very smoothly for me.

3. Nope it is a "standalone" expansion, but as Goa said if you have Trinity you get $10 off.

2. was the 2gb wall broken?
End of quote

No, that would require a big rebuild and Stardock/Ironclad are too small to do that quickly enough to make us happy. That said, they have implemented some major optimizations (think they can still add more but that is IMHO ) that help but you can run into the wall. It just takes a bit longer.
