on/off for superweapons

It will take more than a little tweaking to get the balance right for Rebellion but its a new xpac and thats normal.

My request is a simple solution for all those that dont like/want superweapons in the game either for single or multiplayer.

Just put in a toggle on/off. That way everyone wins. 

 

P.S If you dont somebody will just make a mod so why not save us and them the trouble.

Yes, it's better on and off rather than limited, I need to spam tec superweapon in single player in very large map and many hard a.i when I getting tired and want to end battle soon, tec superweapon answer call but only not set limited, 4 won't do a job in large map.

Agree have a on off RTS from mid 90's like Red Alaert 1 had a slider that let you adjust the tech level

Its a bit silly the way some RTS games dont give you a side range of options (sub com is a great example of you can can restricut individual weapons / tech)

just on or off isn't enough, if they do that than add a third option to limit them too.  I really disliked having them unlimited, but by no means want them removed completely.  They have their uses even when limited.

good point, if you think about it why mop up?  On large maps or ones that I make I usually just quit at a certain point.  The fun is gone.  What we need is a 'calculate victory' button.  Unless you like being Sherman in Georgia :)

good point, if you think about it why mop up?  On large maps or ones that I make I usually just quit at a certain point.  The fun is gone.  What we need is a 'calculate victory' button.  Unless you like being Sherman in Georgia

I agree with you on that it would solve all the problems that both groups have with super weapons. I would have no problems with it. As long as turning it on gives us no limits.

Erm I hate to burst your bubble but this type of post won't encourage the Devs to remove the limit on super weapons, why you ask? Well its simple, they want you to actually play the game, not create an I win super weapon when you can't be bothered to play properly....

Duh, I didn't say I wanted the limit removed, I like the limit.  My point was that adding a toggle to turn off/ limit / enable unlimited would make everyone happy.

Sorry I think I misquoted from another thread, to many windows open >.< I don't think the devs will add a toggle personally, to much work for little gain. I think as long as the limit isn't hardcoded (like titans .... hope they won't be when its offically released) then its ok, as modders can quickly whip you up a private mod, or you can even do it yourself.

 

I think limiting superweapons is fine, as long as they are buffed and it isn't hardcoded.
