Mine / Super weapon Toggle option

Just wanted to agree with other commentators I've seen who have expressed their desire for an option before starting a game to prevent building mines and/or super weapons.

Super weapons: To me not as big of a deal as mines, since you can counteract any of their seriously debilitating affects if you play well, but still the prospect of losing a game suddenly because you didn't get a starbase with Auxiliary Government at your capital world fast enough isn't terribly fun.

Mines: I loved most of the things added in entrenchment, but I hated the mines. I've made several mods to remove them for the various expansions and patches since release, but I find that incredibly time consuming. I know you've attempted to reduce the AI's reliance on mines in the past, but I still find the amount of mines they deploy to be exhausting to clean up. Their damage and affect on the tactical situation don't bother me, it's the clean up after you've cleared the rest of a gravity well, it's just frustrating.

Thanks.

Or instead of removing them,

Make it quicker / easier to clean them up.

If the scout bug relating to mines would be fixed it would help too.  Where they dont quite move into range of mines some times.

Perhaps the ability could have an Area of affect or a Damage over time on the mine effected. they all it would have to do is use the ability.

Or perhaps mine sweeping is part of the defence of mines.

best way is to have an option costs say 5000 that you can remove all mines in a gravity well that you have colonised - makes sense the planetary sensors can detect them

Removing the mines would handicap Vasari players as we have an entire frigate devoted to it whereas the other races have siege frigates which wouldn't be removed.

I'm all for mines disappearing as soon as you colonize the planet. Or a minesweeper ability that destroys mines instead of just revealing them. Either of these options are better than being forced to clean them up yourself.
