Try to convince the devs to make the 'loading' splash screen a dynamic image. just overlay a 'loading' message over an image, make both do a very slow panning to give it some movement. let the images either auto-download from the internet, and/or from a folder on disk.

Leverage the fan art on the loading screen!

That one is not quite as good but I think it has more to do with the angle of the ship shown. The other Vasari Titan you can still get a sense of what it is while this Titan looks a bit lame in a head on point of view.
