To be honest I think they just need to make it a little bit more harder for them to level up such as increase the XP cap on them. Thats all really, they scale really well and their is nothing wrong with that. Also does anyone know how well Destras/Kodiaks/Enforcers do en mass against them?
Depends on which titan and what lvl it is. The Tec loyalist and advent are particularly better at killing massed cruisers/frigs than the other two (they have a better single target damage) but past lvl 3 or 4 they are all pretty damn deadly against cruisers/frigs, before even large groups can do much damage against them.
a large group on HCs will eat right through any of the 4 titans in game. 40-50 hcs will kill any lvl 4 titan with a couple of capitol ships. i havent tried just hcs against any of the titans past lvl 4
Thats what I thought because what i've noticed is the current game is. Rush a titan, have a minimal fleet. So im just working on a way to break that strategy and it seems more than likely HC's are it.
If you throw Caps into the mix than yea you can eat a titan (4 mid lvl caps can do it themselves if the titan is under lvl 4), but just HC does not work. Ive tried it and had it tried on me. Even with all damage research it would take an unreasonable number of HC to take down a titan alone, unless it was lvl 1 or 2 titan, with no group killing abilities chosen
i have done it multiple time 40-50 HCs only fleet can kill a lvl 4 titan with a couple caps supporting the titan.
though it was against an Victorious AI but it normally choices good abilities in my experience and so i dont think it will make that big of a difference
