No sorry

Ive been dying to play as them - i havent tried to mod the game to let me play them like a few others - i figure ill wait - I did use the vasari titans in a custom map i played

They said they would giveus a few days notice of any updates to keep our save games.... The last update was around the 5 or 6th of April when they added the Advent - i had hoped the Vasari would be the 5th of May - ie this friday but with no post warning uis about our save games i think we will see another patch/update before the vasri where they change the super weapons and maybe tweak a few of the settings again

They're still hiding in phase space.

Let them Build their forces in phase space...

Cause I can build two starbases now!!!

A couple of things that scare me about Vasari....

1) Their starbases can PHASE JUMP now.

2) Their Titans don't just cap your worlds... they EAT THEM leaving you nothing but a dead planet if you can retake it.......

Scary stuff.

you will get to play them sometime in the next... 42 days.

They will be added one day a long, long time from now when people actually learn to spell their name...

Number one only applies to the Vasari Rebels while number two pertains only to the Vasari Loyalists, just so that you know.

They don't eat enemy worlds, just their own.  They still have to capture them first.  That said, if you see a Vasari player build a Kostura battery and a Ravastra LT, get ready to have your core worlds fall as they jump from planet to planet at will, eating them as they go.

The funny thing is that they can also strip Dead Asteroids and turn them into Asteroid Belts. Which leaves the enemy without fortifyable planets in the long run. They can still mine the resource asteroids that are present there though.

now thats interesting - i cant wait to play a 10 player game where all the players are whichever vasari faction eats planets

Neither one actually eats planets.  They just convert their own planets into resources.

The vasari are too strong even when they could have dozens of bugs (not the corvette bugs). We don't need this unbalanced force in the beta just yet.

It has been stated that the planets are turned into dead 'roids when that ability is used.

and its Thursday and we didn't get the Vasari. Sad weekend now...

I swear they've synchronized their updates so that I get ninja'd like RIGHT before I'm about to beat a game

I totally support the developers and their efforts to make an awesome game... but I'm still sad no Vasari.  Ok now that I've said that... the Vasari will be here soon enough I'm sure.  Hopefully sooner rather than later :P

Last I checked, Scholar Visari was shot dead by Rico Velasquez in his own palace on planet Helghan.
