Fix the "arcing turns" issue

I am talking about this:

https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/374505

Lost a level 10 capital ship today (again), because instead of turning around and retreating, it rammed the enemy fleet backed by starbase full on, when ordered to go the other way around.

Proposed easy solution: instead of the ships starting to accelerate forward immidiately when ordered to move, they should start to accelerate only when the destination enters their forward angle (even 180 degrees would probably be enough).

This is something that has bugged me about movement in sins for awhile.  They are in space, there is no need to accelerate before turning.  In many cases, like the one the op stated, a ship or ships will accelerate right into a mass of enemies instead of just turning in place and then accelerating.

Devs have said they will not change that mechanic.

Seems a lot better in Rebellion to me. Go back to Diplomacy its far worse.

Fully agree.

At least the ships now turn before they power up their main engines. It has been improved a lot, as Goa also stated.
