What do you mean? I'm not really seeing how this would help the Revelation any...
you run your fleet with at least one Revelation and radiance to the planet and start bombing
the rev starts disabling key targets nearby but gets focused by the rest of the enemy fleet, you then grab there aggro with animosity and then make them run out of range of the .
the revelation can continue to bomb the planet and keep the capships blacked out, not to mention the the cooldown skill can be used to make animosity more spamable
Or you could just bring two radiances
I'm not doing these quotes right, am I?[/quote]
No you're not. You can just use the quote button to do it for yah.
If I am speaking from experiences from a purely MP perspective.
The Kol has its quirks and uses aka the bomber spam counter and tank. They synergize very well with the dual Dunovs especially if the Dunovs are level 6 with flux field to handle your AM costs. Problem is that it is hard to get your capitals to level 6 and there is nothing keeping the emeny from targeting the Dunovs rather than your Kol which is why you bring 2 and hoshikos to make a really great tanking combo.
Radiance I can't comment on since I am not a very avid Advent player to determine that.
If it was my opinion than I'd say you are trying too hard for the battleships to fit all the same roles. Sure they are all classed the same but they have their diverse roles in their classes.
Kol fits its role as the tank and bomber counter nicely. And it can be considered the titan counter since it has the armor to tank whatever a titan throws at it and if you put it a defensive position you can keep it there indefinately to hold it off until you come with a significant bomber force to chase/kill it heck the Kol could probably kill the TEC rebel titan if you have constant repairs on it and they don't but that's just bad playing. Assuming the emeny hasn't brought his own bombers/fighters than you need figher cover and flak support.
Again I can only speak for TEC as I am the avid TEC player not Advent.
As for a Kortal vs Kol battle say both at level 10 is a question mark since Finest hour will be able to make Kol ablities much more spammable to do significant burst damage while the Kortal can sustain its own abilities for steady damage over time. In my honest opinion the Kortal will win.
But this isn't realistic at all seeing that nobody ever 1v1 a capital ship fight. Kol doesn't care of the Vasari's main damage output of phase missles while the LRM can still do significant damage to the Kortal. Hoshis can keep heavy cruisers (capital counters) at bay with demo bots while still giving tons of repair and since these things are so god damn cheap you can spam these out without the worry of AM costs. Eventually you get into a fight of player skill rather than actual combat statistics. The Kol played well can be a useful ship rather than just the brick everybody sees it to be.
It is still subpar but not as everybody overexagerates it. You rather have the other capital ships rather than the Kol since well they are just better and have much more versatile roles. A level 6 Marza eats fleets as well as planets alive so why choose the Kol over the Marza? As for any of the other TEC capitals with the exception of the new one which I can't seem to figure out when to use except maybe the counter to early corvette spams.
Also carriers had their usefulness a bit nerfed since corvettes make very good counters against them. Corvettes can fill anti-strike craft roles at times for a small amount and also can chase down a carrier very easily. This is why the Sova rush is made obsolete since corvettes can just kill the Sova kiting around.
Also the carrier is suppose to have the a higher damage output due to it's strikecraft which is why you bring your counters against them. So you rid them of their main damage output.
