Now we all agree it kinda sucks the Eradica has to die for its ultimate to work, even though it got its duration doubled and can now wipe out entire fleets when it enters Unyielding Will.
So, for once, I decide to actually use it as I've got a perfect opportunity for it. My Titan's severely damaged from all the butt kicking it's been doing when one of my planets gets attacked by a massive fleet. I figure I'll send the Titan, get it killed so it can go godmode on them and wipe them out.
-note that it's a level 8 Titan with rank 2 Unyielding Will and both enemies are Vasari, one rebel and one loyalist, the one I sent my Titan against was loyalist-
So it enters the gravity well and proceeds to hit the fleet with Chastic Burst and takes a surprising amount of fire before dying despite having very little shields and health left. Phase missiles kick in and the hull drops before the shields are depleted and my Titan dies.
No Unyielding Will, it just dies. Gone. Poof.
You know, it sucks enough that it has to die for the ultimate to activate, but if, when I actually purposefuly throw it against an enemy fleet to get killed to use the ultimate, it doesnt work, that's just plain wrong.
The fleet wiped out my planet, joined up with the other enemy's fleet, wiped out my fleet, and I lost the game. But before losing, I rebuilt the Titan and sent it once again at both enemy fleets at once. This time, Unyielding Will did activate and I rained down death and destruction upon them, this time the shields depleted before the hull, so that may be the source of the problem ( possibly ).
Then it died, I had no ships, and used Wail of the Sacrificed on all of my planets when enemy ships showed up in range before finally quitting the game.
