Bet 3 Sides

Varasari Loyalist- They are a mobile nation. It seems that right after they can get the enemies neutralized so they can leave safely in local space (That is what ever map you are playing) they will leave (This one is my favorite Faction)

Varasari Rebels- they seem to want to rebuild there empire right now. These are they who want to end the exodus and have plans how to do this.

TEC Loyalist- They are Turtle Players

TEC Rebels- They seem to be Rogues and Pirates (Yes, even with the new up-dates I find it more economical to buy the Pirate Mercenaries rather then pay the money and resources for the equivalent with the exception of capital and some special ships)

Advent Loyalists- This is the natural way the Advent would evolve

Advent Rebels- These I still say are Terrorists nation of the Sins of the Solar Empire World

I think they have done a very good job with these sides. If you you disagree with my assessment please tell me. I would love to discuss this with any body

I don't think they care about finishing the other factions off. They just want to consume as many planets as possible to ensure they have the resources to keep up their migration, then they're off to the next galaxy. They'd probably be glad if some of the others stayed to slow down whatever is chasing them.

This seems partly true. Based on the restore armor and shared shield techs, they seem to be wanting to restore themselves to the Vasari's former fighting strength. But from the cinematic it doesn't seem like they want to make a stand. They still want to run, they just think they have the best chance if they stop fighting immediately and take the other factions with them.

Rogues who really want to kill all the aliens. They'll work with pirates, but I don't think its fair to classify them as such as money isn't their primary motivation. And I will gladly reduce your pirate hordes to space junks with normal TEC ships any day. ;)

These I still say are Terrorists nation of the Sins of the Solar Empire World

I feel we had this discussion before, and I vehemently disagree. I think they were inspired by the protestant reformation and the dozens of other religious and social reform movements. Granted to the old order sometimes these groups are terrorists, but that's usually a small few after the fact.

The only Rebel unique ability that directly benefits you to suicide your ships is strength of the fallen and purification, both of which are used to buff a friendly target instead of hurt an enemy, so that's why I think terrorists are a bad comparison. Lore wise they themselves few it as a sacrifice to their own strength, and due to their control over life and death it isn't as big of a deal to them.

I am still hoping for a 4th side to make the dosh I paid worth it. So far we have got for the price of a full game (a second time around I might add) a few new units and abilities and some graphical polish (which seems to have been turned down with each patch).

I mean the previous add ons had just as much really for a tenth the price.

Fingers crossed the devs have a surprise in their kit bags for us.

^You should probably start letting go of your expectations now. ;) If there is anything on whatever is chasing the Vasari it won't be as a playable race. They'd have to advertise that.

Your right GoaFan77. But I have to hope that this is not all.

I mean its not too far fetched for Ironclad to release a 4th race in the BETA and have everybody talking and buying to play it.

I mean something like that would get the rest of the original purchasers off their behinds as it were to purchase rebellion and finalise the move from gamestop.

Its mostly Stardock behind this one, and probably has the final say on what gets included and what how much time is spent.

Who says they're after the original purchasers this time around? Dropping the micro expansion model for a big steam supported stand alone makes me think this is the big push to get Sins into the mainstream. And if you've never played Sins before it is a great deal.

Well, yes we did argue earlier about whether the Advent Rebels Were Terri st but I still think they are and your arguments were unconvincing.  Second why do I think that the Loyalist Varsari are going to be leaving as soon as they win the battle. First you can use the to the core ability when ever you want but find it very useful to use it for the strategic reasons.  They seem to focus on transferring there entire infrastructure to there capital ships and Titan.  As well as the Titan ability to bring down the phase stabilizer and the up-graded Dark Fleet.  It also talks about it in the Lore in the last paragraph in the Varasarie section that says all they are waiting for to leave is a big enough victory to leave. So I think they are heading as soon as they beat neutralize the local enemies.

From the lore section of the website. I don't see anything about the Vasari caring about defeating the other races or even winning a battle. The only thing they are fighting for is resources and allies. Everything to me says they want to get the heck out of there as soon as they have the means to do so.

The loyalist members of the Trader Emergency Coalition adopt a policy of isolation, focusing on enhanced defenses to ride out the rest of the war. Those who rebel against the coalition take on a purely militant view, coming to the opinion that the only way to bring peace is by ultimately crushing all who oppose them - especially xenos.

For the first time in their history, the war creates a schism in the Advent Unity. The loyalists seek to continue their policy of revenge against the Traders, and to assimilate all others to the Unity’s influence. However, others amongst the Advent suspect that a corrupting influence from within has diverted the Unity from its proper destiny.

The divide created in the Vasari Empire is less pronounced, but just as severe to their people. With the Vasari now practically frantic to move on to new space, the loyalist faction abandons cooperation and decides to take the resources they need by any means necessary. Having accepted the need to work together, the rebel faction feels that their best chance for survival is to work with the other races and bring them along to flee the approaching enemy.

Okay, but I don't see any arguments for your side here either. If I remember correctly you compared them to suicide bombers before. Well their only unit that can do that, the seeker, has been in the game since day 1 and is shared with the loyalists.
