Next patch?

Next patch?

Is there any ETA?

Just asking, to help me decide, whether i should start a new game today, because if its going to come tomorrow /on Wednesday, it would be pointless, as i surely wont finish it in one day.

@ timmaigh

Actually the advent aren't going to be overpowered by my suggestions... yet that is your own ill founded and poorly thought out, reasonless opinion.

Everyone can have an opinion, yet reason is what ensures some opinions get heard and some do not.  i would recommend you apply some reasoning to what I am precisely talking about, instead of making overgeneralized concepts and throwing them up on the forum.

That being said, Such a strong early game advantage isn't going to be changed without redesign.  So, the vasari loyalists should be penalized just like the advent loyalists for having a strong early game and weak late game.  Either that, or the advent loyalists should get a buff because they are weak.  The point is i'm tired of having a race in the game that isn't competative, and compared to the new races as they stand you can see how unbalanced ideas get given to the Vasari.  I'm upset at the developers for not taking a balanced approach to their game design ideas, they are getting sloppy.  Game balance shouldn't even have been close to this unbalanced.  If they were going to test the game and have us provide meaningful feedback, they should also be communicating A LOT with their community.  This doesn't require a lot of developer time since they can pay a minimum wage employee to be the typist who puts developer discussions into the forums so that players can actually provide meaningful feedback.

I'm just asking the developers to actually lead their community.

There are 2 weeks left to the final release. I think the next patch will be the final release...

That would be disappointing. They have addressed several key balance issues internally. That should be released so the community can get onto the more finer balance issues.

Hopefully there will be one more patch next week.

It would be. Because Stardock never continues to support their game after its released.

Yeah but commonly, online reviews take games at release state, not 3 months down the track. The more we can help the Devs get it as close to right as possible before the release, the better for everyone.

It is going to get positive reviews. I am sure the crashes are going to be solved, and the reviewers are not going to play multiplayer to run into possible desyncs, nor are they going to be able to judge balance from their limited time with the game. So its surely going to be highly positive, only possible downside i can see may be the arguable lack of new content given the price...

I agree...if the majority of the SP crowd are fine with the game balance, I highly doubt it will upset a reviewer doing a superficial analysis...

What about user reviews? With how things have been going in the past 12 months with critic reviews missing massively glaring problems in games, there's been an increasing trend to ignore them and read user reviews.

Users *will* play MP, and *will* notice things like desyncs and balance problems.

To be quite honest, the very people you see on this forum will be the detriment of this game...new guys coming to the forum will see all the issues we discuss and we rail SoaSE for its balance issues...and once someone opens your eyes, you can never go back to the ignorant bliss you lived in before...

That's how it's always been.  When I joined back in '08, I had no idea the balance issues that existed at that time.  Of course, I wasn't upset to know.  I was glad to know how the game mechanics really worked which was the main reason I joined so I didn't care that the game was perfectly balanced.  I don't think that'll be an issue.

The Balance will never be ideal. Always be someone who nerf some thing in game.

The most important thing right now are in-game desync and dumps.

Its easy to get balance close to ideal , all u need to do is listen to people who knows what they are talking about ,  and balance the game for multiplayer prupose.

but if u listen to the majority.......... is ends messy. Like Greece and soon rest of EU

Sure, nerf germany, but leave the Dutchies, Finnish and Norwegian folks out of this!

Germany was already nerfed twice  :)

Doesn't seem to stop them from building the 4th Reich...

Some factions just have to be nerfed and nerfed again...I say third time's a charm...

Wow, first MacGyver2 given himself away as a Nazi, now Seleuceia is advocating for WW3. This forum is getting interesting.
