The Devs do listen to some things...but that isn't always for the better...
Back during the v1.2x days of Diplomacy, the Vasari were massively OP...the skirantra completely dominated the field and the kostura was the late game ace card that was 2nd to none...Advent was only for the brave looking for a never ending uphill battle...
The devs did listen to the community on some issues...scramble bombers and the kostura were nerfed (as they should have been), dem bots was made to be actually useful, and later on the illuminator got a much needed frontal DPS boost...
But many other things were completely neglected or dealt with poorly...for example, the trade penalty induced by the novalith was a community idea, but the devs took it way too far with the power and length of the debuff...severl small things (GRG or incendiary shells, as examples) were buffed as requested by the community, but not impoved in meaningful ways (such as better scaling or secondary debuffs)...
Vasari got heavily nerfed where they needed to be but didn't get buffed where they needed to be...TEC got buffed where it needed to be, but far more than what was necessary...
For years there has been continual criticism of the deliverance engine, and the same caps have continually been marginalized (Revelation and Marauder are notorious for this)...there are issues that the devs responded to, but there are many long-lasting issues that have been brought up numerous times but have yet to be dealt with...
Yes, the devs do listen...but what they choose to listen to and implement isn't always for the best...at the end of the day, SD has it's own vision on what it wants Sins to be and doesn't have the resources to actively vet the game like players do on ICO...comments and suggestions on these forums can be taken on a whim, and faith in certain feedback can be misplaced...
SD simply does not have the size nor an appropriate "philosophy" for making well balanced games (I make this statement with the consideration of GC II and the magic fairy games)...
I am just glad that SD/Ironclad has created a game that has lots of potential and can be modded easily...
