why i feel this title is rushed

the reason i feel its probably going to be rushed is because of the massive amout of bugs and other shit thats probably never going to be fixed anyway, i mean this is in the last part of the beta and alot of stuff is not even fixed, like for example the advent rebel titan has a huge gash in the center of its legs, you can literaly see on the other side of it, its terrible, i think it may be some sort of clipping, and thats not all i have seen the vasari rebel titan has the same problem on the small fins behind it, i know this does not bother most of you out there and you probably don't give a shit but it bothers the hell out of me, if this isn't fixed in the final version then i want my money back this is rediculous, i mean the game is going to be a mess when it comes out. if you really care about this title as i do then you will tell them to push it back for a month or two. i mean WTF these devs now days don't know how to make a game, i mean it there goddam job to do it with perfection, if i'm a srtiper at a night club and i can't deliver the dick then i don't have a fucking job, video game companys need to know, its our money we built there empire, because of our money they have jobs and are able to pay there bills, thats what i want i want THEM to deliver the fucking dick ok, thats what i want, i want my games to be almost perfect like they where back in the day when you didn't have 3d shit.

Comma's alone do not count for punctuation. Additionally this wall of text made my eye's hurt after the first run-on sentence. Sorry, no cookie for you!

You have to admit, he (She? I have no idea...) does have a point...

Isn't the point of the beta to test and find these bugs so they can fix it?? Complaining that it is probably gonna be buggy when its released isn't constructive and doesn't solve anything. What WOULD be constructive is to compile a list of  all these aforementioned bugs and send them off to the devs. Sorry if that sounds harsh but these doom and gloom posts are beginning to annoy the hell out of me...

Rebellion has two groups of problems: bugs and game balance...

It is reasonable I think to say that all bugs (or at least the vast majority of them) should be fixed before the final release...SD clearly is focusing their attention on trying to stamp out bugs and make sure everything at least works, and I think that set of problems will be more or less solved by June 12th...

Game balance is different, however...first off, SD is completely, 100% incapable of making a well balanced game without banking heavily on player feedback...that is the point of a Beta, but a Beta can only do so much...

Really good balancing takes a very long time to accomplish (we are talking months and months and months of continual player feedback and vetting), and it just isn't feasible to postpone an official release on the sole basis that the game balance isn't perfect...

The concept of diminishing returns really comes into play here...SD can release a game June 12th that is 95% finished, or they can wait 3 months, get more player feedback, and release a game that is 98% finished...or they can wait a year, and then release a game that is 99% finished...since perfection is virtually unobtainable and close to perfection takes a really long time to achieve, it just isn't reasonable for SD to delay their release of Rebellion much longer than mid-June..

I'd like you to consider some other very successful strategy games such as Civilization V or the Total War Franchise...these are games with larger player bases, more MP, and far more resources than SD or Ironclad...it took months since final release for updates to truly balance these games (or at least get them where they are today)...in fact, Firaxis is still balancing Civilization V despite having an expansion pack slated for next month...

Even with all the resources that Firaxis or Creative Assembly have, they still have yet to solve all the bugs for all the OS and hardware configurations out there...it is truly a monumental task...

As it currently stands, Diplomacy v1.34 still has glaring balance and gameplay issues despite being out how long?  And you think more time is magically going to balance Rebellion?  SD will never have Rebellion perfect, never...and it comes to a point where waiting longer just doesn't have the return benefits to justify a postponed release....

That all being said, IC/SD have supported the Sins series of games with numerous patches well after most other publishers and developers abandon their products. I expect that Rebellion will be similar in this regard.

I agree...that they even bothered to try and revive the game with Rebellion is testament to that...

Yep--if they continue tweaking Rebellion as they did Sins it will be worth it.

Hows about they fix poverty in the world, fix all the diseases and fix me a King-size bacon double cheese burger? Why can't they-cos there only human. The best you can do is keep sending them desync, bug data with saved game files and dumb(lol) files to the email they provided.

and no one gives a shit about how you feel..just how and when you submit development data. how can the game be rushed when its till in beta you (I then refrain from typing what i was thinking of a few seconds ago).

For this while, the main problem is player network synchronization and hardware optimalization which need to be solved. After that the game will be playable, and devs can stay focus on balance. This is beta man.

We keep reminding fools that this is a BETA, and we will keep on reminding them until doomsday. They just don't get it. It's yet another Nay Sayer troll post. If you haven't already figured it out from the bad spelling, bad grammar, and the unnecessary excessive use of foul language.

In a BETA you point out specifically "What the problems are". "Where you see these problems", and "When do these problems happen". So that the developers are made aware of them. So the developers can eventually fix them. Constructively! In a civilized way!

For example you say the Advent, and Vasari Titans have a huge "gash" on them. Perhaps a screenshot of the issues might help? Same for the "clipping" you see.

You pre-ordered the game so that you had early access to the BETA. The mistake people like this make is that they expect a fully finished product when they download it from Steam.

Instead of Bitching, and demanding refunds perhaps you should do like what the EULA says for the BETA, and TEST it. Make a detailed list of any problems you find, and Report them. In a civilized way.

You see everyone wants something different and it wont all be done

Desync is clearly a big issue as it will drive people away from online play .I dont play online because its too rush orientated

Really since im involved in the beta they could delay final release for a year and not bother me -however given the choice i would push for final rebellion release now/today let the team take a rest for a day (dont want them to get too relaxed :) ) and then get them all hard at work on that sins2

This is no different then the previous sins betas.  Bug fixes will come first.  Balance has and will continue to improve over time.  One of the charms of Stardock /IC is that they will listen to the players and make changes when needed.  So for me that's a buy.  Just think if this was EA and say Madden, they'de give you bug fixes next year and call it a new game.

Count your blessings.
