Would like kill count on all units and starbases.

I was playing a game with a friend and thought this would be cool if all units and starbases had kill counts.

 

5hr game and starbase was alone in a star gravity well, just wanted to know how well he did.

 

so what do you say DEV hmm.

Well, a simple thing to ask it seems, but I think it is a bit late at this point to redirect resources in order to make this. I'm guessing that sooner or later a mod will do this anyway. 

I think it's a great idea- Star Craft does this I believe. However, I'm willing to bet that at this point the devs are a lot more concerned with balancing and such before the release.

I've thought about this too. Would be cool to see how particularly badass each starbase is - and the highest number of kills could be in the postgame stats. It'd also make sense if cap ship culture push was based on this stat to some extent.

Yes and no...  While I have figured out how to count via buffs and getting something to apply a buff to it's killer is a piece of cake, you have to have some way of displaying this to the player unfortunately and as a result, you need to have some stat change so that you can output the data on a game object's infocard and I can't think of any useless stat that could be used for this purpose without affecting gameplay.
